Sarah Laker secures a hat-trick win

In addition to the award, Sarah was highly commended in the Professional of the Year category, reaffirming her unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Sarah, who in 2024 will once again be heading up the National Stationery Week, celebrating all things stationery, is rapidly becoming a high-profile name in the industry herself with judges of the Awards acknowledging: "Every industry would love to have a Sarah. The breadth of Sarah's engagement across the industry and her involvement in promotion of the industry is impressive. Her sharing of best practice and her ongoing promotion of the industry shows a generosity of spirit which is not always found in today's businessperson."

The Awards evening took place in Manchester where Sarah was a guest of her dealer group, Nemo Office Club, who also picked up other awards on the night. Group Managing Director, Tim Beaumont added: "It was a fantastic evening, and no surprise to see Sarah's entrepreneurism and passion recognised once again, up against some very strong opposition. During these times when retail businesses in particular are facing constant challenges, Sarah remains a shining beacon for what can be achieved."

Sarah Laker, owner, founded Stationery Supplies in Marple, Cheshire back in September 2005 when she left behind a career in nursing to follow the dream of owning her own stationery shop. Then in 2020, mid pandemic, she took the brave decision of taking on a second stationery shop in Wilmslow bringing onboard her daughter, making it a truly family run independent business.
