Leading calligraphy brand, Manuscript Pen Company, is encouraging people across the globe to put pen to paper this World Calligraphy Day. Founded by Manuscript Pen Company, World Calligraphy Day brings experts and novices across the world together to discuss, practice, learn and celebrate the art of calligraphy and creative lettering. Being held this year on Wednesday 10th August, Manuscript is launching an online campaign with a plethora of activities to encourage people with all levels of skill to learn, develop and showcase their calligraphy skills.
Activities include a #5daysofcalligraphy challenge, for the week commencing the 8th of August 2022. Focusing on inviting calligraphers, lettering artists and all other enthusiasts across the world to get creative. Each day will consist of a number of calligraphic styles/themes including; italic, modern, express yourself day (on World Calligraphy Day), handwriting and cursive. Inviting the public to join in on social media using the hashtag #worldcalligraphyday and tagging @manuscriptpenco so that posts can be reshared throughout the day. There is also a chance to win a Manuscript bundle worth over £100. Also, free activities will be available to download on the Manuscript website, including calligraphy activities and a mindfulness journal to encourage children to put pen to paper and get writing and encourage general wellbeing.
