Sara Davies MBE, founder of Crafter's Companion, has been shortlisted in the Creative Industries of the Year category for the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
There are 60 finalists across the north east region, with 11 categories including Creative Industries, Disruptor, Scale-up, Start-up and Young. New additions include Food & Drink and Health & Beauty. The regional winners will be announced on 29th October in Newcastle.
When I set up Crafter's Companion from my university bedroom 14 years ago, I knew I had a really great idea but I never imagined the company would grow to the size it is today. I'm so thankful that as an entrepreneur, I've had a strong support system. It started with my family always being there when I needed them and now I have the support of my fantastic, dedicated staff. I'm so thankful that I've been counted as a finalist among so many brilliant entrepreneurs, but I would love to win this award to celebrate all of our achievements so far, as well as all the exciting things that are yet to come.
