She used her trusty Brother sewing machine. Fat quarters from Higgs & Higgs in 100 per cent cotton. The design is Isatis Floneige Snowflakes on Pale Grey. WELCOME TO THE WORLD HOW TO DO IT Tracy says, “Never having made a quilt before, I wanted to make something special for my first grandson. I cut the fabrics into 5in squares. After doing my research, the squares were sewn together making sure there was a ¼in seam. I must admit I did start off very slowly. I made a few mistakes along the way but got there in the end. Then I put the wadding and backing fabric together. I finally sewed the border on by hand. I have to say I absolutely loved making this quilt! So much so, I’ve been asked to make a second quilt out of my grandson’s baby grows as a memory blanket.” Tracy is a very proud Nanny T!
