Tell us a little bit about the company. Where are you based? When did the company start? My Two Ladies is based in Malverne, New York. I originally created the patented My Two Ladies, ‘Adjustable Straight Knitting Needle System’ in 2016. Shortly after, we then formed Alexis Crafting Needles LLC and successfully grew our one product into a full line of hand-healthy, luxury fibre art tools. Who founded the company and why? My Two Ladies was founded by Alexis Mantione and is 100 per cent solely owned. How has the company evolved? Our company has stayed on the same track as when we started. It was, and continues to be our mission of providing quality, sustainably sourced products, always designed with the user’s hand health in mind. We now sell internationally and are recognised as the ‘good for your hands brand’ throughout the fibre arts industry. What do you specialise in? My Two Ladies specialises in manufacturing and selling knitting, crocheting, winding, spinning and other luxury fibre art tools. The tools are handmade by local generational artisans in India from sustainably sourced and licensed woods. Our products continue to be designed keeping the importance of hand health in mind. Not only are our products made to endure generations of use, but additionally each item is a piece of artwork in itself. Talk us through the current products you’re particularly excited about. Do you have a favourite? Understandably, our first tool, the patented adjustable knitting needle is near and dear to my heart. Inventing a product gets under your skin and it will always be special.
