SEASONAL DELIGHTS Thousands of visitors will also be getting ahead for the 2020 festive period with a visit to Christmasworld, a five-day event running from 24 th -28 th January. The show is focusing on the point-of-sale experience as a factor for success, with 1,000 exhibitors on hand to present the latest seasonal decorations. “Seeing, testing, smelling, feeling and tasting are the unbeatable advantages of shopping offline,” says Eva Olbrich, director of Christmasworld. “Moreover, the exchange of information within the community – something of ever-greater importance for the younger generation – cannot be reproduced online. In future, sales will be generated via the shopping experience and no longer by product alone. To be part of a brand or lifestyle is a new shopping incentive and, for this, Christmasworld offers inspiration unlike any other consumer goods fair.” The product range will include everything from hand-blown tree baubles to large-scale illuminations for shopping malls and city centres, while visitors will range from trade buyers for small boutiques and shopping outlets to florists, garden centres, hotel operators and local authorities. The show will also feature events designed to help retailers attract customers through engaging product selection and display. Stilbüro bora.herke.palmisano has prepared this year’s Christmasworld Trends, shining a spotlight on the desire for mindful lifestyles coupled with greater sustainability. The trend area will focus on tomorrow’s colours, materials and designs. Decoration Unlimited – Dark Ocean will invite visitors to immerse themselves in a fascinating world of rough outdoor elements surrounded by impressive Christmas decorations. One of the show’s main highlights, Floradecora will provide a full range of fresh flowers and decorative plants, while the Christmas Delights section will be filled with impulse buys to add value. Lectures and guided tours will take place in the Christmasworld Academy.
