David Mather Supplies is a family run business that started in 1979 in a small garage in Whitefield. Since that humble beginning, we moved onto a small unit in Farnsworth and then into our warehouse and offices based in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. Since that time, we have established ourselves as a leader in the field of vinyl household textiles. Using our experience to import a wide selection of PVCs and vinyls for supply to the retail and manufacturing market. Who founded the company and why? I founded the company! I’d always wanted to work for myself. How has the company evolved? The company began with just eight designs and now has more than 400 designs. What do you specialise in? We specialise in the best range of PVC tablecloths, table protectors, vinyl leatherette, PVC glass clear and lace in the UK. Talk us through the current products you’re particularly excited about. Do you have a favourite? I always love looking at new designs and seeing them take off and become best sellers. I also love all the Christmas designs and seeing how sell with all customers. How would you advise a retailer who is interested in stocking your products? I’d ask them who their customers were. If space is available, I would always recommend a stand as a good display sells the product. We can always provide samples and direction on good solid lines. If my customers are selling, then I’m selling. What sets you apart from your competitors? We’re always told our customer service is fantastic. This includes speed of delivery and availability of stock. It’s no good selling a product if you don’t have it in stock Do you visit any trade shows? Do you plan to visit any soon? We recently visited CHSI Stiches 2025 at the NEC. What new products can we expect from you in the future? We have new 2025 range collections in our PVC table coverings. Plus, new display units – eight rolls plus display stand for £250 + and free delivery.
