7 EDITOR’S LETTER On the cover Icy blue tones combined with subtle beige tones are the perfect match for Zweigart’s ‘Nordic Moose’ theme. This colour combination creates great highlights - for example, on this evenweave fabric Lugana 25 ct. with all-over print ‘Splash’ (3835/7449). With this lovely moose design, we can dream ourselves into the beautiful north, where reindeer and moose wander through snowy winter landscapes. The cross-stitch design was embroidered on Zweigart’s evenweave fabric Murano 32 ct. (3984/5106). The weather was temperamental and retail was fair. According to the Office of National Statistics, retail sales volumes (quantity bought) were estimated to have risen by 0.5 per cent in July 2024, as people opted for the high street rather than the beaches and parks. Moving on, you may have already started your Halloween displays and planning for the Golden Quarter.
