Here’s what she had to say! THE PRODUCT The Baby Farm Animal Collection was developed especially for those just starting their journey into amigurumi. The term ‘amigurumi’ comes from the combination of the Japanese words ‘ami’ (meaning knitted or crocheted) and ‘nuigurumi’ (meaning stuffed doll) - and the trend is becoming huge – and I can see why. How cute is this sweet calf? Perfect for gifting or displaying in your own home. HOOK, LINE & SINKER HOW TO DO IT The kit contains enough material for one figure, including Circulo Amigurumi DK 100 per cent cotton yarn, polyester stuffing, amigurumi safety eyes, a crochet hook, tapestry needle, locking stitch marker and printed pattern. Literally everything a newbie could possibly need if they haven’t had opportunity yet to curate their own kit. The cotton yarn provided is excellent for beginners as its texture makes it super-easy to see the structure of the stitch, and therefore where to put the hook next. I was impressed too by the quality of the stuffing, which is way softer than anything I’ve ever used before in my own projects. The step-by-step pattern is clear and easy to follow and even offers extra advice along the way. I particularly loved the accompanying app and how-to video for the little calf’s udders with a fun technique of adding a spot of blush for embellishment. Even the bag it comes in is useful for keeping the project together while in progress! All-in-all this is the perfect kit for a beginner, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
