Following the success of its Cyanotype Discovery Box, Clairefontaine has extended this range by launching a small collection of accessories. Developed as a tribute to the work of Anna Atkins, a 19th century Botanist who first used the cyanotype technique to create herbaria precisely reflecting all the magical details of nature, the original Discovery Box allows the user to discover this magical photographic, camera-less technique. By combing water, light and a photosensitive solution based on ferric salts, the user can produce beautiful cyanotype imagery. A new Photosensitive Solutions Set features 10g of green ammonium iron citrate, plus 25g of potassium ferrcyanide, supplied in tubes alongside an instruction booklet full of tips. The set enables the user to create unique imagery using the sun as a developer. In addition, the latest Cyanotype Paper pack includes 10 sheets of A4 sized Fontaine watercolour paper, which has a satin grained finish.
